Sharon, VT- Marilyn Jean Rhodes, 81, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Springfield Health and Rehabilitation in Springfield, VT.

Marilyn was born July 30, 1937 in Rockingham, VT, daughter of Jasper and Alberta (Hackett) Harrington. She grew up and attended the Bellows Falls Schools and later move to Sharon where she attended school. She was married to Richard "Doc" Rhodes August 7, 1955 in Bethel, VT they made their home in South Strafford for a time before moving to Sharon where they have lived since.

Marilyn enjoyed sewing, working on puzzles and reading, but her greatest passion was time with family especially picnic outings.

She is predeceased by a son Dennis Rhodes and a brother Richard Harrington.

She is survived by her beloved husband Doc of Sharon; a son Kevin Rhodes of North Carolina; daughter Debbie Rhodes of Wilder, VT; five grandchildren Stephanie, Josh, Jeremy, Mary and Jonah; seven great-grandchildren;  a brother Duane Harrington of North Pomfret; two sisters Beverly Somerville of MO and Joan Kenison of Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.
