Marilyn Lorraine Hosmer

White River Jct., VT – Marilyn Lorraine Hosmer, 74, died Friday January 9th at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH from complications of Parkinson's disease.

She was born October 3, 1940 in Hanover, NH a daughter of Carl Perkins and Hilda (Judd) Harris. Marilyn grew up and attended school in the Strafford/Tunbridge area. She was later married to Edwin McIntier and they lived in Madison, CT where they raised their family. After their divorce Marilyn returned to Vermont and was married to Harry Hosmer, living in Groton, VT. She worked at Maska in Bradford, VT for several years and later at the Hanover Inn before retiring. Since Harry's death in 2012 Marilyn has resided at Brookside Nursing Home.

Marilyn loved being a homemaker; she especially enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed her small aquarium and watching the birds outside her window. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received during her time at Brookside during which she became very close to her roommate, Mary.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; a son Richard McIntier and four brothers David, Jimmy and Bill Moses and Carl Perkins.

She is survived by her children Lorraine Dubeau of Plainfield, NH, Kimberly Nicklin and Melissa McIntier both of Madison, CT and Edwin McIntier and his wife Pat of Guilford, CT; grandchildren Heather, David and Richard Dubeau and Michelle McIntier; a great-granddaughter Summer Stone; her siblings Anthony Perkins of Sharon, VT, Anita L. Moses of Hill, NH, Sandra J. Adams and her husband Arnold of East Topsham, VT, Diane M. Puffinburger of Hebron, NH, Kathleen Sargent and her husband Stanley of Alexandria, NH, Roger R. Perkins and his wife Kippy of Thetford Center, VT, Gloria M. Potwin and her husband Roland of South Royalton, VT, Beverly Wheeler and her husband Duane of Tunbridge, VT, Marcia J. Rogers of South Royalton, VT, Judy R. Pederson of Claremont, NH, Edgar Perkins of Chelsea, VT, Dennis Perkins of Highland, NC, Angela Manley of Franklin, NC and Timothy Perkins of East Topsham, VT as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time.
