Marie M. Knapp
Wilder, VT – Marie M. Knapp, 87, died Monday May 21st at Valley Terrace in Wilder, VT.
She was born September 29, 1924 in Everett, MA a daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Russo) DePalma. As a young girl, Marie moved to Detroit where she later graduated from high school. She was married to Paul Wesley Knapp October 3, 1942; they lived in several states as Mr. Knapp moved with his job. After his retirement they spent nearly twenty years in Asheville, NC before moving to Valley Terrace in Wilder, VT in December of 2007.
Marie enjoyed working the soil, growing anything, especially flowers. She enjoyed collecting dolls, caring for children, holding babies and making people smile!
She was predeceased by a son Terry Paul Knapp in 1985, her husband Paul in 2008 as well as a brother John J. DePalma.
She is survived by two sons David Kevin Knapp and his wife Marcia of Wilder, VT and Jon Jay Knapp and his wife Jody of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), three grandchildren Anna Marie, Avery Jon and Eric James, a niece Sherry Atkins and two nephews Kirk Stewart and Scott Stewart.
