MARIAN ANTHON BRUEN MARRIN, dear wife of Charles Marrin, died on Wednesday 1st of July at Cedar Hill in Windsor after a protracted illness.

She was born in New York City on the 26th of January 1946, the daughter of Edward F.L. Bruen and Marian Gray Bruen.

She attended private schools and Connecticut College. She obtained her medical degree from The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at St Luke’s Hospital in New York. It was there that she met Charles, a Resident in Surgery. She trained in Neurology at The Neurological Institute of New York.

She was appointed to the faculty of Dartmouth Medical School, but retired soon afterwards to become a full time wife and mother.

She served for nine years on the Board of Mid Vermont Christian School, and was an active and enthusiastic member of Valley Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles, her daughter, Minet Fischer (Jonathan) and her grandchildren, Susanna, Timothy and Christopher Fischer.

Her funeral service will be held at Valley Bible Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, 11th of July. Burial will take place privately in the Jay Cemetery at 12 noon on Monday, 13th of July.

Those wishing to give to charity in her name are encouraged to donate to The Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, West Windsor, Vermont or to Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Windsor, Vermont.
