Plainfield, NH – Maria P. Hall, 54, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a brief illness. Formerly of Portadown, Co, Armagh, Ireland.

Maria was born June 24, 1963 in Portadown, Co. Armagh, Ireland, a daughter of George and Dympna (Fay) Hall. She graduated from the City & Guilds of London Institute, Newry, Ireland. Maria came to Hanover, NH to work as a nanny for the Collins family and also worked D'Artagnan Restaurant in Lyme, NH. She worked until her visa expired and returned to Ireland for a year until she was able to return to work for the Collins. Maria later worked at Alice's Bakery and Café in Norwich, VT. She moved to Wilder, VT where she met her future wife, Maureen Leahy. They were married December 18, 2015 at their home in Plainfield.

Maria is predeceased by her brother Laurence.

She is survived by her loving wife Maureen Leahy of Plainfield; three sisters, Catherine, Patricia, and Dympna; and six brothers, Billy, Alfie, Francie, Tony, George, and John-Paul.

Her family wish to express their deep sadness at the loss of their beautiful Maria, from all her brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. We extend our heartfelt sympathy from all of her family to Maria's beloved Maureen.

A private graveside service will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT.
