Margaret Anne Savino

Margaret Anne Savino, 79, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Windsor, VT.

She was born on November 16, 1946, in New Haven, CT, to Joseph Stanley and Mary Elizabeth (Casner) Zembrowski. As the youngest of six siblings, she was cherished by her older brothers and sisters. Following her graduation from Wilbur Cross High School, she married Joseph E. Savino and together they had two sons.

Margaret was a devoted and affectionate mother who always wore a smile. Despite parting ways with Joseph, she maintained a positive outlook on life. She loved the beach and soaking up the sun whenever she could. Margaret frequently visited her son's home in Vermont, where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Around 2020, she relocated to Pittsfield permanently.

She is survived by her sons Joseph A. Savino of the Philippines and David M. Savino of Pittsfield, VT; siblings, Anthony Zembrowski of New Haven, CT, Helen Hitzfeld of Texas, and Mary Cylke of Virginia; grandchildren, Barrett and Josephine Savino, their mother, Amanda Barrett, as well as other relatives and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and two siblings, Joseph Zembroski and Jean McDermott.
