Windsor, VT – Margaret L. Garrand, 90, died Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Cedar Hill in Windsor, VT.

Margaret “Maggie” Garrand, daughter of Theron and Isabel (Voghell) Boudro, was born on June 12, 1935, in Randolph, VT. Her family moved to Windsor when she was in the fourth grade, and she graduated from Windsor High School in 1954. She went on to attend hairdressing school in Burlington before returning to Windsor to work at Fitch’s Beauty Shop.

On August 20, 1955, Maggie married Larry Garrand. They lived in Windsor for a time before making their home in West Windsor, where they raised their family and spent nearly seventy years together. Maggie ran a beauty shop out of her home for many years, retiring at the age of 79. Larry passed away in 2009, and since 2020, Maggie had made her home back in Windsor.

Maggie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor. She enjoyed gardening, gathering with friends through the PM Club, and spending time with the Red Hat Society in Brownsville.a

She was predeceased by her daughter, LouAnn Russ.

Maggie is survived by her children, Craig Garrand (Carol) of Burlington, VT; Lee Garrand (Patti) of Glens Falls, NY; and Mark Garrand (Trisha) of Sharon, VT, son in law, Jonathan Russ of Lebanon, NH; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Vivian Carter of Windsor and Pauline Giancola (Mike) of Burlington, VT; her brother, Norman Boudro of Kentucky, sister-in-law, Nancy Garrand of Sunapee, NH, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor at 11am Friday, June 12, 2026, with burial to follow in the Sheddsville Cemetery in West Windsor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Windsor Historical Society at PO Box 12, Brownsville, VT 05037.
