Margaret Jean Ellis, 62, a former longtime resident of Windsor, passed away Tuesday morning, March 8 at the Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts in Springfield, MA.

She was born July 27, 1953 in Windsor the daughter of Warren R. and Jessie (Shambo) Becker. She received her education in Windsor and attended Windsor High School. She married Frank E. Ellis in Windsor on April 24, 1976. Margaret was employed with the housekeeping department at the Holiday Inn in Springfield, VT, and later at the Ascutney Mountain Resort in West Windsor. She most recently worked at the Residents Inn in Lebanon, NH. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Her husband, Frank passed away in 2010. She was also predeceased by her parents, one son Eric J. Ellis in 2006, by three sisters, Patricia Tessier, Beatrice Bashaw and Donna Becker and by two infant brothers, Danny and James Becker.

Survivors include one son, Wade Ellis of Belmont, VT, two sisters, Betty Lemire of West Windsor and Nancy Sargent of Springfield, VT, and many nieces and nephews including Lisa Bixby of Belmont, VT.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. William Sheldon, officiating. Committal services will be held in the spring in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
