WINDSOR, VT
Malcolm P. Strong, 75, a resident of Windsor, passed away Thursday morning, October 9 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor. He was born November 7, 1938 in Claremont, NH the son of Lloyd and Phebe (Stillson) Strong. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1958. Mr. Strong was employed at Valley Artesian Well in Ascutney and later at Gateway Motors in White River Jct. He most recently worked at Max's General Store in Ascutney until his retirement in 2002. He was a former member of the Vermont National Guard.
Malcolm enjoyed collecting plates, traveling and taking tours throughout the United States. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Ramon Strong and two sisters, Arlene Spencer and Barbara Johnson.
Survivors include two sisters, Lucinda Buck of Springfield, VT and Margaret Strong of Franklin, VT, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. At his request a graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 15 at 11:00 AM in the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney. The Rev. Michael Boy, Pastor of the Ascutneyville Union Church in Ascutney will officiate.
