Lyn Worth Paul, age 82, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Surprise, Arizona, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1944, in Windsor, Vermont, to Kenworth Colburn Pollard and Evelyn Mary (Nuttall).

Lyn graduated from Windsor High School in 1962. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. She returned to Windsor to marry her high school sweetheart, Wayne Leslie Wardwell, also from the class of 1962. She worked as an administrative assistant at Cone Blanchard Machine Company, Dartmouth College, and Granite State Hydroelectric.

In 2005, Lyn married John Thomas Paul of Wilder, Vermont. In retirement, they traveled, taking cruises to Alaska, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. They enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the Connecticut River and on ponds throughout their native Vermont. In 2018, Lyn and John moved to The Grand in Surprise, Arizona, where they embraced the Southwest’s beauty and spent quality time with nearby family and in-laws before John’s passing in 2022.

Lyn is survived by her beloved son, Leslie Wardwell, and his wife, Laura (Kaspar), of Avondale, Arizona; granddaughter Taylor Wardwell Kruse (Matthew) of Mesa, Arizona; grandsons Connor Wardwell of Avondale, Arizona, and Samuel Wardwell (Arianne) of Mesa, Arizona; and two great-granddaughters, Danielle and Lucy Kruse.

Lyn enjoyed cooking, knitting, and sewing, and was a voracious reader, traits she inherited from her mother and grandmother. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Burial will be at  Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor, Vermont.
