White River Jct., VT – Lucinda "Cindy" Cameron, 71, died at the Jack Byrne Palliative Center in Lebanon, NH on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, following three years of declining health.

She was born September 29, 1952, in Hanover, NH, the third daughter of Carl Jenness Cameron and Elisabeth Judd Hildreth Cameron. Cindy attended schools in Hartford and later the Riverbrook School in Stockbridge, MA, and Lakemont Academy on Seneca Lake in New York. She was considered a member of the Class of 1971 at Hartford High School but obtained her diploma in 2002. In September 1972, Cindy was married to Keith Lyman, and they later divorced. Cindy was hardworking and dedicated to her work in housekeeping at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in White River, where she worked for twenty-nine years before retiring. She was also employed at several other local motels.

She was dedicated to her family and the organizations she loved, including St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she was a member all her life. She was also a member of the Hartford Grange and more recently the Upper Valley Grange. Cindy will be remembered for her outgoing personality and loved socializing with people. She enjoyed dances at the VFW, swimming at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center, spending time outdoors fishing, and was an avid life-long cat lover.

She leaves her sisters, Judeen (Judy) Cameron Barwood and Hildreth "Jill" Cameron Harris Devins, both of White River Jct.; nephew Jonathan C. Barwood (Amanda); nephew Justin C. Barwood (Rebecca) and their children Morgan, Joseph, and Madison; niece K. Elisabeth (Lisa) Harris (John); niece Kari Harris Griffin (Nick) and their children Cameron, William, and Chase; and niece Sarah Barwood Hoover (Neal) and their children Colby, Avery, and Griffen. She leaves many other loved friends and family, and Norman Banker, her companion of many years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 4 until 6 pm at Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT.  A funeral will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 11 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and burial will be in the Hartford Cemetery.
