Obituary

Lowell J. Millen, 52, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday, June 14th, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Lebanon, NH.

Lowell was born September 8, 1971, in Lebanon, NH to David and Carol (Burnett) Millen. He grew up in Woodstock and graduated from Woodstock Union High School class of 1989.

In January of 2015, Lowell and Tanya met casually through his cousin, Chris Hicks. Although they were married for less than four years, they were together for nearly ten, and cherished every moment they shared. They enjoyed all types of nerdy fiction and always considered their first time watching The Lord of the Rings together as the true beginning of their love.

Lowell loved calling himself "The Fitness Sage". Lowell enjoyed helping others; it was how he found personal fulfilment. He was thoughtful and intelligent, and he encouraged, motivated, and supported those around him always. He encouraged others to see the positives in life and appreciated every day he lived.

He leaves behind his wife, Tanya and her sons, Daniel, and Joshua Grant of Enfield; his siblings, Stacey and her partner Gardell of Virginia, and Darin Millen and his wife Colleen and son David Millen of Massachusetts; daughter, Bethany Millen; nieces and nephews, Tyson and Devan Carpenter, Tatiana Monroe, and her daughter, Katara Monroe, who he adored and referred to as 'the Little One". The span of Lowell's love was vast, and included many aunts, uncles, cousins, chosen family, friends and loved ones.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Jack Byrne Center for the exceptional care and hospitality they offered, not only to Lowell, but to everyone that visited him as well.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in his memory.

A celebration of life will be held at the Fireside Inn's Terrace Room in West Lebanon on September 8th, 2024 from 11AM-3PM. There will be a cash bar, light buffet lunch served at 11:30 and desserts at 1pm. All are welcome to come share their memories of Lowell.

Knight Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook found at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.
