Obituary

THETFORD CENTER, VERMONT- Louise E. Judd, 76 of Thetford Center died Friday November 19 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
She was born in Woodland (Aroostook County) ME on August 26, 1934, the daughter of Herbert and Hope (Brown) Ketch. She attended school in Woodland, ME and graduated from Caribou High School, Caribou, ME in 1951, at the age of 16. She attended one year at Aroostook State Teachers College in Presque Isle, ME.
On October 17, 1952 she was married to John C. Judd Sr. They lived in Shelton, CT from 1954-1958, moved to Norwich, VT from 1958-1989, and built their retirement home in Thetford Center, VT.
She worked occasionally at the Union Village, VT Post Office and later at the US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover, NH from 1970 until retiring in 1994.
She enjoyed genealogy, embroidery, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband John, one daughter, Deborah Cushman of Union Village, VT. Two sons, Michael Judd and John Judd Jr. both of Norwich, VT, two sisters Myrtle Post of Story City IA, and Juanita Knowlton of Caribou, ME; four brothers, Richard Ketch of New Sweden, ME, Rev. Dale Ketch of Christiansburg, VA, Rev. Ward Ketch of Schuylkill Haven, PA and Philip Ketch of Woodland, ME; Four Grandchildren, Three great granddaughters, and One great grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT Tuesday November 23 from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the Knight Funeral Home Wednesday November 24 at 10AM burial will be at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Randolph Center, VT.
