ASCUTNEY, VT
Lorraine Boudro Carney, 65, a resident of Ascutney, passed away Monday morning, January 18 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor.
She was born July 18, 1944 in East Fairfield, Vermont the daughter of John L. and Loretta (Elwood) Boudro. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated form Windsor High School in 1962. She married Paul E. Carney in Windsor on November 27, 1965. She was employed for a brief time at Miller Construction Company in Windsor. She most recently was employed as a Deli Clerk at Price Chopper in Windsor for ten years until her retirement in 2009. She was a member of the Windsor Elks Lodge #1665 and the Windsor American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary. Lorraine enjoyed crocheting, and her cats, Josh and Rose. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1992.
Survivors include one son, Paul E. Carney, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Gulf Breeze, FL, one daughter, Barbara Schmidt of Gulf Breeze, FL, four grandchildren, Elizabeth Carney, Andrew Carney, Jason Harrington and Dale Harrington, all of Gulf Breeze, FL, two sisters, Ramona Noel and her husband, "Butch" of Windsor, and Gail Dow of Windsor, three brothers, Kenneth E. Boudro of Phoenix, AZ, James F. Boudro and his wife Mary of White River Jct, and Darrell J. Boudro of Windsor, several nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no formal funeral services. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Windsor at a later date.
