IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loretta "Lolly"
M. Gould
June 17, 1944 – August 30, 2022
Windsor, VT – Loretta "Lolly" M. Gould, 78, a lifelong resident of Windsor, died at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH on the morning of Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born on June 17, 1944, in Windsor to R. Glenn and Margaret M. (Fitzgerald) Bateman and graduated from Windsor High School in 1962. Over their more than six decades of marriage, she and Larry "Bud" C. Gould lived, worked, and raised their family intertwined with the community. They were longtime parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and she was a member of the Catholic Daughters. After the business of raising children, she entered a working world outside the home, first at the drugstore in Windsor and later for many years in the kitchen at Weathersfield school. Ever the shopping enthusiast, she would spend her earnings getting good deals for herself and the entire family.
She loved keeping a beautiful and neat home, no small feat while raising four children and later with grandchildren in and out; enjoyed spending time outdoors in the summer, often in the swimming pool with grandchildren, walking, and admiring her carefully tended flower gardens. Many fond memories were formed while on the annual summer vacations in York, ME, first with children, later with children and grandchildren, and sometimes with just Bud and Lolly enjoying some quiet time together.
She is survived by her husband Larry "Bud" C. Gould, Sr. of Windsor; four children Terri Dana (Larry) of Windsor, Larry C. Gould, Jr. (Monica Greene) of Windsor, Jeffrey Gould (Alice Baird) of Windsor, and Lori A. Gould of White River Junction; two sisters Marilyn Barnes (Dave) of Columbus, OH and Glynmary "Pinky" Bateman of Fresno, CA; seven grandchildren Tyson (Lauren), Kalem (Jessica), Bo (Brittany), Kyle (Kaitlyn), Connor, Jake, and Danielle (Brandon); six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother William C. R. Bateman.
A graveside service at St. Francis Cemetery will be announced later and memorial donations to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church are appreciated.
