White River Jct., VT – Linnie E. Burnham, 64, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon , NH .

She was born February 17, 1950 in Plymouth , VT the daughter of Leslie and Verna (Pretty) Ray. Linnie attended grammar school in Quechee , VT and graduated from Hartford High School . She married Eugene R. Burnham February 6, 1971 in Orford , NH and they spent most of their married lives in Hartford . Linnie worked as a nurse's aid at the former Hillside Manor Nursing Home in Hartford Village and later at the Pleasant View Motel on Route 4. She has worked as a cashier at Shaw's in West Lebanon , NH for nearly twenty years.

She was a proud member of CRACK (Connecticut River Antique Collectors Klub) as well as a former Cub Scout pack leader and member of 4-H in Quechee. Linnie enjoyed cribbage, knitting, camping and reading. She was an avid bowler at the Upper Valley Lanes and Games in White River Jct., where she belonged to several leagues.

Linnie was predeceased by her husband, Gene, in 2011 and is survived by a daughter, Valerie Martin and her husband, Chuck; a son, Dennis Burnham and his wife, Melissa and three grandchildren, Ryan Burnham, Michael Martin and Kathryn Martin all of West Lebanon. She also leaves three sisters, Katherine Brodeur and Leslie Ray of White River Jct. and Joyce Roberts of Bethel, VT as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 13 ^th from 5-7PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 14 ^th , at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hartford Cemetery at a later date.
