Windsor, VT - Leora Paré, 91, died peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Windsor surrounded by her family.

She was born January 21, 1932, in New Milford, CT where she lived her entire life until moving to Windsor in 2017 and was a daughter of Joseph and Gladys Mae (Thowless) Tiberio. She attended school in New Milford with her best friends Patricia Mosher and Edith Johnson. She married the love of her life, David E. Paré, on February 11, 1951. Leora and David raised five children in New Milford and have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Leora was a devoted full-time homemaker until 1971, when she became clerk of the New Milford Probate Court. In 1982 she became a legal secretary with a law firm in Southbury, CT from which she retired and ended her professional career in the late 1990's. Leora was a member of the Republican Town Committee for many years, and always would enjoy a good political debate with friends and family! She was a kind and generous soul, often opening her door to children less fortunate and feeding anyone who was hungry. Leora took great pride in her family and home, loved planting flowers, cooking, reading the newspaper, and always had a cat on her lap and a dog by her feet.

Leora is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years David E. Paré. She is survived by her children Scott J. Paré and wife Vicky, Lisa A. Pinney and husband Chick, Jeffrey D. Paré and wife Laura, Dara L. Newton and husband Darrel, Andrea L. Crawford and husband Alasdair. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11am in the Center Cemetery in New Milford, CT, all are welcome. A reception will follow at the Italia Mia Restaurant, 223 Danbury Road, New Milford. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT has been entrusted with arrangements.
