Fairlee, VT – Laurie F. Grant, 59, died Friday evening August 25, 2017 at home in Fairlee, VT.
She was born May 5, 1958 in Franklin, NH a daughter of Francis and Gloria (Clark) Vachon. Laurie graduated from Ashland High School in 1976 and moved to Fairlee, VT shortly after. She was married to Wendell Grant in West Newbury on November 14, 1986. Laurie loved helping and caring for others and has worked as a nurse's aid in the area for most of her career. She has worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH since 1992 and was proud to earn her LPN degree from Vermont Technical College in 2003.
Laurie was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing both flowers and vegetables. She also loved animals, especially her dog, Pete.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband, Wendell, in 2008 and her step son, Brian Grant in 2010.
She leaves her daughters Bridgett Grant of New Brunswick and Theresa Stark of Orleans, VT; step daughter Trudy Adams of Peirmont, NH; step son David Grant of Campobello, SC; three grandchildren, a great grandchild; sisters Kathy Henderson of Thorton, NH, Debra Thorne of Chichester, NH, Tia Boyce of Plymouth, NH and Wendy Carter of Windham, NH; a brother Daniel Vachon of Ashland, NH as well as several nieces and nephews.
