IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laura Siroog
Boyajian
October 24, 1957 – September 30, 2022
Hanover, NH – Laura Siroog Boyajian, 64, of Hanover, died on Friday September 30, 2022. She was born on October 24, 1957, in Akron, OH to Robert and Martha (Crocker) Boyajian and attended Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio (1976) and later graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA (1983) with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Laura was a multi-media expressionist artist and poet. She was included in numerous publications and was a member of AVA Gallery in Lebanon where she had numerous exhibitions and poetry readings, as well as exhibitions at the Harvard Divinity School, Smith College, the Armenian Museum and Library of America and was a part of the national traveling show "Truth from Darkness". Her artwork demonstrated her passions, love of beauty, her extraordinary draughtsmanship and her original vision.
The cause of her death was kidney failure caused by medications that she needed for her illness. She bravely chose to die rather than be subjected to the debilitating treatment that could have prolonged her life. She had a strong faith which sustained, comforted and inspired her while she lived and especially as she declined.
She is survived by two sisters, Ann Margaret Boyajian of Jamaica Plain, MA and Gail Chandler Boyajian of Cambridge, MA, her longtime partner, Fred Elser III and many loving friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a mass for her at La Salette shrine at 10AM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 followed by a graveside service in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Hanover. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are appreciated to La Salette Shrine, Enfield NH.
