Larry K. Parady, 69, died Friday March 25, 2011 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River, Junction, VT. Larry was born September 25, 1941 in Biddeford, ME a son of Albert J. and Simone (Saucier) Parady. He attended school in NY. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army's 82nd Airborne. He married Norice Barber in 1961. After he was discharged they moved to Norwich, CT and he went to work for a short time with General Dynamic in Groton, CT and later at New England Bell Company in CT as a lineman. He married Connie Carolan in 1978; they spent a short time in Utah and Colorado before settling in Salem, VA. In 1998 they retired and moved to Derby Line, VT and then North Troy. Larry is a former member of the American Legion in Salem, VA.
He was an avid coin and gun collector along with collecting swords and stamps.
He is survived by a son Larry, two daughters Christine and Kimberly, a step-son Matthew, three siblings Betty, Patricia and Dennis, and four grandchildren Brandon, Michael, Brooke, and Neil.
A graveside service in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT will be held at a later date. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
