WINDSOR, VT—Kristin Rose passed away at her home in Windsor, Vermont on July 27th, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born in Holden, Massachusetts, the daughter of Ruth Currier Bagley and Guy Andrew Bagley. The family lived in Petersham, Massachusetts until 1969 and then in Acton, Massachusetts. In her 20s, Kristin moved to the Upper Valley area of Vermont and New Hampshire, and was employed by Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic for 28 years.

For several years in the 1980s, she lived at New Canaan Academy in Canaan, New Hampshire, where she practiced meditation and t'ai chi chuan. Later she lived in Lebanon and Haverhill, New Hampshire and Bradford, Vermont, before moving to Windsor.

Kristin was cherished for the warmth of her friendships and for her humor and creative spirit. For over 20 years she studied and performed middle eastern dance under the name Rosette Divine. In the 1990s, she wrote the humorous advice column "Ask Sister Serenity," which appeared regularly in the Canaan, New Hampshire weekly The Country Chronicle; her play The Witch of Love was performed in recent years by Old Church Theater of Bradford, Vermont; and her latest work, the novel The Duchess of Pontsylvania, is currently available.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Murphy of Windsor, her son, Wayne Trask of White River Junction, her grandchild, Ember Bessent of Windsor, her brother, Mark Bagley of Grafton, New Hampshire, and nephews, John Bagley and Tim Bagley and niece, Hannah (Bagley) Perry.
