Rutland, Vermont – Kimberly Papa, 56, died, Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Mountain View Center, Genesis Elder Care Facility in Rutland, VT.  She was born July 1, 1967, in Natick, MA the daughter of John E. and Karen (Russell) Christiansen.

Kimberly was a high school graduate from Hanover High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Business from the University of New Hampshire in 1990.  She moved to San Diego, CA and graduated from San Diego State University with a master's degree in accounting in 1995.

She passed her Certified Public Accountant exam in 1997 and worked as an accountant most of her adult life.  On October 12, 1996 she was married and had two children, Payton Nicole Papa in 1998 and Thomas William Papa in 2002.

Kimberly loved getting together with family and friends for barbeques, loved trips to Chappaquiddick to catch bluefish.  She also enjoyed sailing sunfish boats on Crystal Lake and trips to Ogunquit, Maine to play in the waves.

Kim loved cars, totally loved fireworks and animals.   She raised pigs and chickens.  She also enjoyed lottery tickets.  She was a collector of Nut Crackers and put them out on display every Christmas.  She was a strong woman and the best listener who loved to hear about everyone's day and the fun things they did.

Kimberly is survived by her daughter Payton Papa of Edwardsville, IL, her son, Thomas Papa of Edwardsville, IL

Her step father, David Roberts of Plainfield, NH,  brothers, John Christiansen of White River jct., VT, Kirk Roberts of New York, John Roberts of Burlington, VT, a sister, Tracy Sandmann of Plainfield, NH as well as several nieces and nephews.
