Windsor, VT- Kerry Anne Clifford, 45, died July 2, 2020 at Low Lands Hospice in Hilton Head, SC.
Kerry was born December 18, 1974 in Saranac Lake, NY, a daughter of James and Luella K. (McFarland) Krieger. She graduated from DuBois Area Senior High School Class of 1993. Before obtaining her Bachelor's Degree from Seton Hall University in Elementary and Special Education. She later went on to earn her Master's Degree in Teaching the Visually Impaired, Orientation and Mobility from the University of Pittsburgh. She was married to Joe Clifford in 1997, they were divorced in 2007. Kerry was passionate about teaching blind and visually impaired children including working as advocate for the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Kerry enjoyed knitting and was an avid animal lover. She was active in fostering animals for local rescues and was influential in organizing the Paradise Dog Park in Windsor. She was also a member of the Old South Church in Windsor
Kerry is survived by her sons, eighteen year old Max who is a freshman at the University of Vermont and sixteen year old Dalton who is a junior at Windsor High School; parents, Jim and Luella Krieger of Sykesville PA; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Trish Krieger of Mesa AZ, her beloved niece, Margaret Lynne Krieger and her former husband Joe Clifford and his wife Kamron of Plainfield, NH.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 17 from 2-3pm at the Paradise Dog Park in Windsor followed immediately by a Celebration of Her Life at 3pm at the park. Per orders of the Governor a limit of 150 people can be present at the outside gathering, seating will be extremely limited and social distancing will be practiced, please bring a mask. A video of the service will be uploaded to YouTube at a later date and a family friend will be streaming it on Facebook Live. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor has been entrusted with arrangements.
