Obituary
Hartland, VT- Kenneth R. Maxfield, 74, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at his home in Hartland, VT.
Ken was born February 2, 1941 in Post Mills, VT the son of Andrew and Ella (Bowker) Maxfield He grew up in Post Mills and graduated from the Thetford Academy. He served for a time in the Army and upon his discharge he returned to the Upper Valley and went to work in his brother's store. He enjoyed driving and incorporated that into his work where he drove for Dartmouth Cab, Mowers News Service, and most recently as a delivery driver with Bond Auto Parts.
He is a former member of the Hartford Elks. He loved the Red Sox ,NASCAR and most of all spending time with family.
Ken is predeceased by four brothers, Clyde, Howard, Norman, and Earl Maxfield and a sister, Arlene Lund.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (Wright) Maxfield of Hartland; two daughters, Sylvia Teeter of Hartland, and Christine Smith of Columbus, OH; grandson Dwayne W. Morris Jr; brothers Elmer and Melvin Maxfield and a sister Anna Hines.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction from 4-6PM. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11AM in the Thetford Baptist Church in Thetford, VT.
