Kenneth Holway Duchesney, Sr., 83, passed in peace with his family around him, Tuesday, December 09, 2014 at Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin, VT.
He was born October 18, 1931 in Hyannis, MA, the son of Charles and Gertrude (Cash) Duchesney. He grew up in Hyannis and attended Barnstable High School. In 1952 he joined the Army and served during the Korean War. Upon his return he was married to Anna Pearl Cobb. He and his brothers formed the Duchesney Brothers painting Company where he worked until retiring in 1984
Anna died in 1978.
Ken was an avid fisherman. He was a guitar player and played in the local country band, "The Tradesmen". Ken also loved golfing in Bradford, VT.
He is survived by seven children: Kristen Lepenven, Robin Bishop, Cynthia Birch, Theresa Rucker, Valerie Murphy, Kenneth Holway Duchesney, Jr., and Jenney Piper; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and siblings: Alice Moniz and Bill Duchesney Sr.
Burial will be held at a later date in the Bay View Cemetery in Sandwich, MA.
The Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT has been entrusted with arrangements.
