Obituary

Tunbridge, VT – Kenneth Nelson Crocker, 72, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care at Dartmouth Health in Lebanon, NH.

Kenneth was born on July 5, 1953, in Plymouth, IN, the son of Bill and Mary (Halt) Crocker. He attended the Plymouth Schools, graduating in 1971, and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 1975.

After graduation, Ken began his career at Motorola in Franklin Park, IL. He met Sara Webster, and they were married on June 25, 1977, in Villa Park, IL. The couple lived for a time in Schaumburg, IL, before relocating to Jackson, MI, where Ken worked for Sparton Electric. In 1981, they moved to Nashua, NH, where he was employed by RCA/GE in Burlington, MA until 1991. The family then moved to Durham, NH, where Ken took a position with the University of New Hampshire's Earth Observation Sciences. He retired in 2003.

In 2019, Ken and Sara moved to Tunbridge, VT, where he enjoyed time on his tractor and actively contributed to the community. Those six years were among the happiest of his life.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Sara W. Crocker of Tunbridge; three daughters and sons-in-laws: Amanda and Josh Romond of Ferrisburgh, VT, Mary and Joe Clark of Navarre, FL, and Katherine and Jacob Miller of Jacksonville, NC; thirteen grandchildren: Cade Coyne, Haylie Miller, Faith Miller, Hope Houghton, Connor Coyne, Ella Romond, Sophia Clark, Olivia Clark, Hudson Houghton, Kiley Miller, Ava Clark, Vivi Romond, and McKenzie Miller; and four sisters: Linda Arnold of Bloomington, IN, Chris Crocker and Joyce Warnacut, both of Locust Grove, VA, and Marcy Bare of Kettering, OH.

A celebration of Ken's life will be announced at a later date. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03766, or to your local hospice.

In keeping with who Ken was we are carrying on with humor: Dad put the FUN in dysfunctional and he's finally found a good parking spot.
