White River Jct., VT - Kenneth R. Alger, 51, died unexpectedly at home in White River Jct. on Friday October 7, 2016.
Ken was born July 27, 1965, a son of Forrest R. and Judith (Roberts) Alger. He grew up and attended school in West Lebanon, graduating from Lebanon High School class of 1984. He earned his associates degree from New Hampshire Technical College in Manchester and later began his career at Geokon in Lebanon, where he was a treasured employee for over 25 years.
He was a former member of the West Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department, the Sons of the American Legion in Lebanon and the Hartford Rod and Gun Club.
Ken will be remembered for his ability to enjoy life, he enjoyed visiting with friends, going out to dinner at local restaurants and helping anyone who needed it. He loved operating anything with a motor including his plow truck, mowing lawns for neighbors, riding his new ATV or one of his many motorcycles, including trips to Sturgis with friends and the Blue Ridge Parkway with his father. He also loved the outdoors, particularly ice fishing, camping and making Maple Syrup with his good friend Donny Curtis at Little Stream Sugar Works in West Lebanon.
He is survived by his parents of West Lebanon; a sister Bethanie Prescott and her husband Scott of Amherst, NH; nephews Aaron and Andrew Prescott; Uncle Kenneth Roberts of Cincinnati, OH and John Roberts of Alma, ME; cousins Donna Scribner Wilcox and Daphne Scribner both of Eustis, ME, Emily Roberts and Seth Roberts and their families of Cincinnati, OH, Byron Roberts and his wife Tanya of Brighton, MA.
A memorial service will be held at the West Lebanon Congregational Church in West Lebanon Friday October 14th at 11AM. A private burial will take place in the Hilltop Cemetery, Quechee, VT.
