Lebanon, NH - Keith Michael Goodwin, loving father and husband, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, after a brief but intense fight against cancer on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born in Hanover, NH to Christine (White) and Elvery Goodwin on July 26, 1960.

The youngest of six siblings, Keith spent a happy childhood in Lebanon. After graduating high school, he spent many years working for Bridgman's Furniture before becoming an electrician. The majority of his adult life he spent wiring homes and businesses. The projects he worked on gave Keith great satisfaction.

He met the love of his life, Karen (Abbas), while still in school and she later made his dreams come true by becoming his bride in 1981. In 1985, the couple welcomed Keith's pride and joy: their only child, Gerren. Keith was always very proud of watching Gerren grow up and nothing made him prouder than seeing his son raise his own child many years later. "Pop-pop" was Keith's favorite title.

Keith was a notorious Miami Dolphin's fan who could be found watching the game and shaking his head (often in dismay) throughout the season. He loved to remind anyone who spoke poorly of his beloved Dolphins that they were the only team to ever have a perfect season.

While the Dolphins couldn't always be counted on to make Keith happy, he could rely on the joy of being outdoors and spending time camping.  This love was expanded upon when he retired three years ago as he and Karen delightfully became full time campers, heading up and down the East coast to visit friends and family throughout the year.

As much fun as Keith found in his life, it would be a challenge to find someone who worked harder than he did. He was always doing what he could do to help his friends and neighbors, often without being asked. "He would give you the shirt off his back," was the perfect quote to describe Keith.

Keith leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Karen, his son Gerren and spouse Shauni, grandson Sage, three older siblings (Karen, Kathy, and Raymond), a dear long-time friend Jesse, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, dear friends, and loved ones. Keith was predeceased by his mother, father, and older siblings Donald and Mary.

His family wants to thank their loved ones as well as the staff at DHMC and the Jack Byrne Center for all of the love and care during this difficult journey. The compassion and kindness we were shown will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to Keith's calling hours at Knight Funeral Home in White River on Friday, January 2nd from 5-7pm. A memorial service will also be held at Knight Funeral Home on Saturday, January 3rd at 12:30pm. A graveside burial will occur for the family only. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to make a donation to the organization of your choosing that you feel best embodies Keith's memory.
