Kathleen R. "Kitty" Boutilier, 94, a longtime resident of Windsor passed away Sunday, March 11 at the Cedar Hill Continuing Healthcare Center in Windsor.
She was born June 10, 1917 in Windsor the daughter of Louis and Nora (Jacquin) Robideau. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1936. She married William B. "Red" Boutilier in Windsor on June 10, 1939. She was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed caring for her family.
Mrs. Boutilier was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court of St. Francis. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, and had belonged to a sewing club of family and friends. She especially enjoyed attending family cookouts and spending time with her family.
Her husband of sixty three years passed away on January 12, 2003. She was also predeceased by an infant son, William Boutilier in 1941 and by two brothers, Francis Robideau and Mathias Robideau, and one sister, Genevieve Tessier.
Survivors include one son, Richard Boutilier and his wife, Anita of Windsor, one daughter, Joan Allen and her longtime companion, Paul Seaver of Reading, VT, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Margaret Robideau of Windsor, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor on Friday morning, March 16 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00. The Rev. Raphael Nyabenda, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Committal services will follow in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Windsor. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Windsor Elks Lodge.
