Sharon, VT – Karen A. Emerson, 72, died peacefully at home on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1949, in Norwood, MA to Christian and Shirley (Fortnam) Zappe and was united in marriage to Homer S. Emerson, Jr. in Westwood, MA on October 10, 1978.

She is survived by her husband Homer of Sharon; two brothers John Zappe (Robin) South Portland, ME and Mark Zappe of Warwick, RI; her dog Buddy; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 1-2 pm and 4 pm until a brief memory sharing service at 5:30pm at Knight Funeral Home, White River Junction, VT. A private family burial service will be held later in Ascutneyville Cemetery.
