Obituary

West Windsor, VT – June A. Huebner (Evans), 88, died peacefully Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

June was born on September 13, 1936, in Milford, CT, to Gail and Alice (Dotson) Evans. She grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 1954. June continued her education at Nyack Bible College and later earned a master's degree from Southern Connecticut University. She taught for a time in the Milford School District.

On November 20, 1976, June married Walter E. Huebner in West Windsor, VT. They made their home in Milford before moving to Vermont in 1985, where June worked at Mid Vermont Christian School for 10 years before retiring.

June was an active member of Brownsville Community Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She enjoyed giving back to her community by volunteering at Cedar Hill Healthcare in Windsor.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Huebner. June is survived by her three sons: Stephen Corwin of Cedar Rapids, IA, Michael Corwin of Haymarket, VA, and Christian Huebner of West Windsor, VT; two daughters: Elizabeth Schick of Naugatuck, CT, and Christine Kilpatrick of Burlington, VT. June is also survived by her stepchildren: Erich Huebner of Hampstead NC, William Huebner of Deerfield, NH, Thomas Huebner of Milford, CT, Susan Brown of Deerfield, NH, Linda Woods of Washington, PA, Lisa Macri of Nottingham, NH, her brother, Byron D. Evans of Blue Ridge, GA. and many many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24th at 11:00 AM at the Brownsville Community Church. Burial will take place at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be expressed online at ww.knightfuneralhomes.com.
