Windsor, VT- Judy C. McCabe, 76, died on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH.

Judy was born August 1, 1948, to Stanley and Loraine (Manning) Clark, and grew up in South Royalton, attending the local schools. On August 23, 1980, she married Everett 'Mac' McCabe in South Royalton, VT. They soon moved to Windsor, VT so Judy could attend the New England School of Hair Design. She went on to work in several of the area's salons.

Judy and Mac operated Green Mountain Auto Carriers along with their sons, Kris and Kevin, which operated from 1995-2007, as well as G-MAC Taxicab in Windsor. She was the Former State President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in addition to being active with the American Legion and was a dedicated member of Old South Church in Windsor.

Mac bought Judy her childhood dream home in Windsor, and subsequently converted the woodshed into a hair salon for her. Judy operated The Woodshed Salons in both Meriden, NH & Windsor, VT. Judy was known for visiting nursing homes to make sure the residents got proper haircuts. She even went on to win an award for 'Hairdresser of the Year'.

Judy was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Roger Clark, Doug and wife Elizabeth 'Liz' Clark, sister, Cheryl Vesper, and the love of Judy's life, Mac. Survivors include sons, Kevin and wife, Blanche McCabe of Windsor, VT, Kris and wife Ruth McCabe of Windsor, VT and grandchildren, Elizabeth and husband Forrest Maxon of Mission Viejo, CA and Troy McCabe and partner, Rebecca Simon of South Royalton, sister-in-law, Carolyn Clark, brother-in-law, Roger Vesper, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will take place from 5-7pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT. A funeral service will take place at 3pm on Saturday, December 7th at Old South Church in Windsor, VT, followed by a celebration of life at Old South Church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to Old South Church in Windsor, VT or the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH.
