Windsor, VT – Judy L. Hill, 66, died on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was the fourth child born to Robert William and Lorraine J. (Merrill) Shambo on September 9, 1958, in Windsor, VT.

Judy grew up in a large family learning values that she passed on to her two sons. She often went to yard sales, searching for a treasure that she knew would brighten a family member's day. She laughed often, had a tremendously loving heart, and worked hard. She was a mother who put her children first, but also expected them to contribute and be respectful.

For more than three decades, she worked at Windsor High School, first in the kitchen and later with the maintenance crew. She adored working along with two of her sisters, interacting with the kids, and was proud to be able to care for her household as a single parent.

Judy is survived by two sons Brian and Phillip Hill, both of Windsor; four siblings Sandy LaRock and husband Rory of Windsor, Bill Shambo and wife Diana of Cornish, NH, Randy Shambo and wife Sheila of Woodstock, VT, and Barbie Shambo and husband Mike Vivian of Cornish; two siblings-in-law Stacy Boutwell of Florida and Judy Shambo of Windsor; one very much adored grandson Harlan; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings Betty Jean Shambo, Ruth Guyett, Robert Shambo, Jerry Shambo, and Lori Boutwell.

A graveside service will be held at Child Cemetery in Cornish on April 12, 2025, at 1pm and will be followed by a celebration of life at the Cornish Town Hall.
