White River Junction, VT - Joyce B. Snow, 71, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH after a long illness.
She was born July 7, 1941 in Lowell, MA the daughter of Frederick and Clara Ittner. She grew up and attended the schools in South Hadley, MA. She went on to obtain a degree in nursing, and later moved to Orford, NH. She then moved to Hartford Village this is where she met her husband George Snow and they were married on July 5, 1986, they settled in White River Junction. She worked for a time at Hanover Terrance and then for many years as a private duty nurse with Visiting Nurse Alliance of VT & NH. Joyce was a true people person and when she was no longer able to work as a nurse she spent several years waitressing in the Upper Valley. George died March 8, 2008.
Joyce loved crafts and enjoyed working in ceramics. She had an amazing wind chime, music box, beanie baby, and teddy bear collection. She and George spent many hours at yard sales and numerous weekends at the flea markets. But most of all she enjoyed being a social butterfly spending as much time with others as possible.
She is survived by a son Scott Lincare of Fl; two daughters, Kristianne Kemmis and her husband Marc of Hopewell Junction, NY and Tamara Fisher of White River Junction; grandchildren, Jared, Cyle, Danielle and Caitlin; two great-grandchildren; three step-sons, David Snow of White River Junction, Donald Snow of North Hartland, VT and Bruce Snow of White River Junction; and a step-daughter Colleen Davis of White River Junction
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, from 5-7PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction immediately followed by funeral services at 7PM. A graveside service will be held in The Hilltop Cemetery at a later date.
