Sharon, VT- Joyce Ann Dean, 73, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a long illness.

Joyce was born August 2, 1943 in Hanover, NH the daughter of William E. and Vera (Powell) Ladeau. She graduated from Hanover High School class of 1961. She went to work at Lou's in Hanover as a waitress. Joyce was married to the love of her life, Roger Elmer Dean on September 11, 1962. She later went to work at the Hanover Inn for several years. Joyce later worked at the Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder, VT before going to work at Brooksie's in Sharon where she worked until her health forced her to retire.

Joyce enjoyed cooking, crocheting, collecting owls, and spending time with her dog Muffin. She was always more concerned with others well being more than her own.

Joyce is predeceased by her husband Roger Dean, a daughter, Rhonda Dean, four brothers William, Raymond, Joseph and Chancy Ladeau; and a sister Beverly Dyke.

Joyce is survived by her children Scott Dean, Roger Dean, Melissa Dean and James Dean; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Willard, Kenneth, David, and Matthew Ladeau; step daughters Robin Edmonds and Roberta Dow; a sister, Viola Severance and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joyce's life will be held in the spring at the Wilder Dam in Wilder, VT. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT has been entrusted with arrangements.
