Wilder, VT - Joyce "Joy" Harrison, 77, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Lebanon Center Genesis in Lebanon, NH

She was born May 18, 1938 in Worcester, MA a daughter of Edwin and Doris (Farmer) Hutchins. Joy graduated from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA and later earned a Master's Degree from Clark University, in Worcester. She was married to Robert Harrison in 1968 and they made their home in Chardon, OH. They moved many times spending time in Hobart, OK, Milwaukee, WI, Fort Wayne, IN and Oklahoma City, OK. Bob died in 1994. Joy has lived in the Upper Valley since 2013.

Joy enjoyed knitting, needle work, reading, ceramics and her extensive Santa collection. What she loved most was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her sister Bethalyn Mann and her companion Thayne "Swede" Olsen

She is survived by three sons, Robert Lee Harrison II of Morgan's Point, TX, Dennis Harrison of Chardon, OH, and Edwin Harrison of Cement, OK; two daughters, Gayle Harrison of Vancouver, WA and Bethalyn Fox of North Olmsted, OH; 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday January 23, at the Knight Funeral home in White River Junction at 11 am.
