Joshua Alan Kingsbury, 46, passed away unexpectedly December 4, 2023, at home in White River Jct. following a struggle with alcohol abuse and mental illness.
He was born in Lebanon, NH September 16, 1977, a son of Steven and Dorothy (Conrad) Kingsbury. Josh grew up in Wilder and graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1996. After school Josh worked at CVS and Technica both in Lebanon before starting his career in tree work. He loved his work with a chainsaw in his hands and worked for many years at Chippers and Henderson's Tree Service.
Josh met Stacey Smith, the love of his life in 2003 and they were married June 26, 2010. They lived in Sharon for a time and since in White River Jct. where they raised their sons. Josh loved having fun with the kids and extended family including dance parties in the living room, going to the family hunting camp in Bradford, four-wheeling, ice fishing, hiking or just exploring together.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey and sons Aiden and Alex Kingsbury all of White River Jct., mother Dorothy Swift of Norwich; brother Jeremy Kingsbury (Alora) of Bradford; sister, Sandy Josler (Doug) of Wilder; step siblings, Kristina Aldrich, Mike, Jason and Joshua Swift; father and mother-in-law, Kelvin and Kristen Smith; sister-in-law Jaime Cote and nephew Morgan Kingsbury and will be missed by many close friends that he loved.
Josh is predeceased by his father Steven Kingsbury and stepfather Raymond Swift.
A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction on Wednesday December 13th from 5-7 PM. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced when warmer weather returns.
