Charlestown, NH— Jonathan L. Atwood, 37, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, from complications surrounding the fact that his heart was simply too big.

Jonathan was born March 27th, 1986, to Donna Lowery and David Atwood. He attended Windsor schools and graduated from Windsor High School with the class of 2004.

He excelled in the kitchen and went on to study at the New England Culinary Institute. He worked various jobs around the area, always with food. Jonathan most recently worked at The Sumner House in Charlestown and is fondly remembered by his fellow employees from Friendly's in Springfield and West Lebanon.

Jonathan had a special way of bringing light to those around him. He fostered countless special friendships, and his laugh will echo in the memories of all who cared about him for many years to come.

Jonathan was predeceased by his sister, Jessica Atwood, in 2017, his grandparents, Kenneth and Wauneta, in 2012, his aunt, Caroline Hull, and cousins, Kenny, Jeremy and Theresa Hull, in 1986, uncle, John Hull, Jr. in 1983, and his cousin, Jason Rice in 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Lowery, of Mount Holly, VT, his stepfathers, John and Michael Mitchell-Beam of Zephyrhills, FL, his biological father, David Atwood of San Antonio, TX, his sister, Jazmin Beam of Springfield, NH, his brother, James Beam and his wife, Nicole, of Springfield, VT, and his nephew, Izic Richardson of Springfield, VT.

A visitation will be held from 2-3:30PM on Sunday, June 11th, 2023, at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT, with a memorial service starting at 3:30PM.
