Lebanon, NH – Johnny Stanley McKinstry, 58, died Saturday November 16, 2019 at home in Lebanon.

He was born January 8, 1961 a son of Raymond Glenn and Gladys Irene (Thompson) McKinstry.  Johnny grew up in Plainfield, VT and attended school Twinfield High School.   He has lived in the Upper Valley most all of his adult life where he has worked as a carpenter including many years with his brothers.  Johnny loved helping his family, friends and neighbors.  He was a very special man who always brought a smile to your face whenever he was around.  He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make everyone laugh.

He was predeceased by his parents Raymond Glenn McKinstry and Gladys Irene Lund, brothers John Wayne McKinstry, Samuel Webster Lund and Ray McKinstry and a sister Pauline Corette-Roberts.

He leaves his girlfriend of many years Melissa Franceur of Lebanon; daughters, Ashley McKinstry and Shannon McKinstry of Barre;  grandchildren; brothers, Michael McKinstry of East Thetford, VT, Glenn McKinstry of Merideth, Mark McKinstry of Randolph and Richard McKinstry of Florida; sisters Gladys Pike and Mary McGrath both of Northfield, VT, Betsy Kissner of Grafton, VT and Emma Grant of East Montpelier, VT as wells as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A celebration of Johnny's life will be held Saturday November 23 ^rd from 1PM - 5PM at the Wilder Library and Clubhouse, 78 Norwich Ave, Wilder, VT.
