White River Jct., VT – John F. Trachier, 66, died Friday July 30th at the home of a close friend and care giver after a long illness.
He was born July 20, 1944 in Hanover, NH a son of Francis William and Marguerite (Labarre) Trachier. He grew up in Hanover and graduated from Hanover High school before entering the US Air Force. After returning from his military service he worked at the Nugget Theater in Hanover for many years. He was married to Sally Minard in Norwich August 25, 1971. They lived in Norwich for several years before moving to White River Jct. where he lived the rest of his life. John worked with computers at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in White River Jct. for twenty five years before retiring.
John will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his devotion to family and friends. He enjoyed being with his pets especially his cats and dogs. He was a member and enjoyed fishing at the Norford Fishing Club.
He is predeceased by his wife in 2008 and his father.
He is survived by his mother of Hanover, a sister Carol Donahue of White River Jct., several nieces and nephews as well as by Roxanna Paige and her family who cared for John in their home for the past year and a half.
A graveside service will be held Sunday August 15th at 4PM in the Hillside Cemetery in Norwich.
