West Lebanon, NH – John S. Sanderson, 70, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his home. Born on January 18, 1956, in Lebanon, NH, he was the son of Harold and Jeanne (Currier) Sanderson. A lifelong resident of the Upper Valley, John worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family. For more than three decades, he was a machinist at Split Ball Bearing Corporation/Timken Aerospace, and later worked alongside his son at Hypertherm.

John’s greatest joy came from the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and his beloved Pugs. He cherished long rides on his Harley Davidson and summer days boating on the Connecticut River.

He is survived by five children: Adam Sanderson and wife Kim of Hartford, VT; Ryan Sanderson and wife Christina of Lebanon, NH; Megan Creighton and partner Brandon Rose of Plainfield, NH; Kailin Merchant and husband Daniel of West Lebanon, NH; and Michael Creighton and wife Nicole of Ascutney, VT. He also leaves behind three siblings: Bob Sanderson of Newport, NH; Janet Keith and husband Bill of West Lebanon, NH; and Judy Sanderson and husband Bruce Farr of Northwood, NH.

John is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Lucas, John, Lyla, Lexi, Destiny, Zaine, Zavian, Logan, and Noah; along with many additional friends and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents.
