White River Jct., VT – John H. Patterson, 81, died April 25, 2022 at his home.

He was born February 16, 1941, in Belfast, ME a son of George and Hazel (Delano) Patterson.  John grew up in Belfast, and as a young man worked at the Bath Iron Works before moving to Connecticut where he worked at Pratt and Whitney. He later moved to Cornish, NH and started working at Tip Top Bakery in White River Jct., where he met Louise Regione. They were married June 30, 1972 and have made their home in White River Jct. since. John finished his career at Timken in Lebanon, NH retiring after 26 years of service. He was a hard worker and always had side jobs to help provide for his family including owning several apartments and doing automotive work.

John came from a large, close-knit family and he enjoyed attending the family reunion each year, which he hosted in 2015. He also loved BINGO.

He was predeceased by his wife, Louise in 2017; a son, John Patterson, Jr. and is survived by daughters, Melissa and Valerie Patterson both of Lewiston, ME; his step children, Michael Swett of Enfield NH,  Everett Swett of Norwich VT, Donald Swett of Canaan NH, Tony Swett of Plainfield, NH and Kathy Barker of Vershire, VT; brothers, Michael Patterson of Tottenham, ME, Paul Patterson of Florida, Richard Patterson of Bath, ME, Roger Patterson of Bowdoinham, ME, Dennis Patterson of Bowdoinham ME , Jeffrey Patterson of Phippsburg, ME, Nancy Bailey of Meridan, NH, Donna Shabbuck of Florida, and Linda Cappon of Texas.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., Tuesday, May 10 from 5-7PM.  A funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  Private burial services will take place in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to John's family in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
