Windsor, VT - John W. MacDonald, 68, died early Friday morning at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT.  He was born September 19, 1950 in Hanover, NH the son of Earl L. and Edith Mae (Fox).  He attended school in Woodstock, VT and graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1968.  He attended University of Hawaii, University of Oregon, and N.H. Technical Institute where he received his MA and BA degrees in Anthropology and AE in Electronics Engineering.  John worked overseas in Thailand, working for The Bangkok Post as an editor.

He was married to Jintana Fungphonngam on Jauary 11 1991. They lived in Bangkok Thailand. They moved to Windsor, VT in 1997.

John has worked for the past 10+ years at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH as a User Support Specialist in the Senior Psych. Research Department.

He loved spending time talking on his H.A.M. radio, staying at his camp in Fairlee. He also enjoyed recreational fishing and shooting.

He is survived by his wife Jintana MacDonald of Windsor, VT, son, Narin Phanthakhot of South Burlington, VT. Calling hours will be held Friday evening, April 19, from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT.
