White River Junction, VT- John G. Desnoyers, 68, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at his home.

John was born March 19, 1952 in Hanover, NH to George and Evelyn (Butler) Desnoyers. He grew up in White River Junction and graduated Hartford High School Class of 1970. He continued his education, graduating from Bridgeton Academy in 1971. John went on to obtain a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1987. He worked as an electrical engineer at Hypertherm until he had to retire due to his health in 1999.

John was a dedicated member of St. Anthony's Church in White River Junction. He was a proud member and treasurer for the area's AA chapters. He and his family were very proud of the 37 years of sobriety he enjoyed. John was an avid hiker, completing all of the 4000 foot peaks in New England and "The 100 Highest" twice . He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

John's first love was his family. He enjoyed hiking and going to the movies with his daughter Keisha. He loved weekly dinner dates and all the playtime he had with his grandson Curran.

John is survived by his daughter Keisha Desnoyers, his grandson Curran Taylor and several cousins including Pam Basinski, Denise Hughes and Jill Lundberg.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 24 from 5-7PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. A private service followed by burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
