Joel H. "Lefty" Carter

Wilder, Vermont – Joel H. "Lefty" Carter, 51, died Tuesday September 29, 2015 at home in Wilder, VT.

He was born January 24, 1964 in Providence, RI a son of Amy and Shirley (Waterman) Carter. Joel grew up and attended school in Rhode Island before moving to Vermont where he has lived for the past 18 years. While living in Vermont he worked at Jiffy Lube in West Lebanon, NH and more recently in the kitchen at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT.

He leaves two brothers, Jeff Carter of Orford, NH and Alan Carter; a sister Maureen Carter of Hartford, CT; three children Joe, Jeremy and Jessica; an aunt Gloria Raymond of Providence, RI and many cousins.

A private committal will be held at the family's convenience in Newport, RI.
