JoAnn Louise Brauer
Wilder, VT – JoAnn Louise Brauer, 58, died, February 2017 at her home.
She was born June 11, 1958 in New Britain, CT, a daughter of George A. and Nelleen J. (Connolly) Brauer. She graduated valedictorian of Cromwell High School class of 1976 and furthered her education at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, graduating with honors. She worked for many years as a pharmacist and moved to Vermont in the late 1990s.
JoAnn was a devoted member of Community Lutheran Church and a committed volunteer with the Upper Valley Humane Society both, in Enfield, NH. JoAnn loved animals, especially her cats Leonard, Irving, Pandora, and Minuet. JoAnn loved making things and was always working on a project or two. She especially enjoyed sewing, knitting, embroidery, and baking.
JoAnn is survived by her mother, Nelleen Brauer, of Dundee, NY; three sisters Cora (Gary) Golding of Riverton, CT, Susan (Warren) Anderson of Hustonville, KY, and Jacqueline Brauer of West Hartford, CT; two nieces Georgina Anderson of Mt. Sterling, KY and Roberta Anderson of Georgetown, KY; a nephew Matthew (Acacia) Anderson of Danville, KY; and a great niece and a great nephew.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, at 1:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT.
