Jennie B. Blow

White River Jct., VT – Jennie B. Blow, 85, died Sunday at the Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct., VT.

She was born May 6, 1928 in Tunbridge, VT a daughter of Wendall and Florence (Howe) Boyce. Jennie attended schools in Tunbridge and Royalton and before moving to the Hartford, VT area where she has lived since. She worked for a time in local woolen mills but spent most of her life as a cook in area restaurants, mostly run by her family including Lena's Lunch, Julie's Now & Then, and Crossroad's Café.

She was predeceased by her husband Rodney Blow; a son Stephen Davis; four sisters, Lena Butterfield, Annabelle Perkins, Barbara Mann & Maxine Mason; brothers Fred Howe and Stanley Boyce as well as two infant brothers David and Wendall Boyce Jr.

Jennie leaves her two daughters Bonnie Davis of White River Jct., VT and Melodye Waddell of New London, NH; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters Shyrl Rafus and Mary Mann, both of White River Jct., as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11AM in the Branchview Cemetery in South Royalton, VT.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Brookside Nursing Activities Fund, 1200 Christian Street, White River Jct., VT 05001.
