WINDSOR, VT
Jeffrey Thomas Creighton, 72, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away Sunday morning, September 27 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
He was born August 7, 1943 in Lebanon, NH the son of Clarence and Arlene (Knowles) Creighton. He received his schooling in Boston, MA and Lebanon, NH. He married Donna Heath in Hartland in 1966. Jeff was employed as a District Manager for Lehigh Oil Company in Connecticut, and later for Coastal Oil Company in Boston. He most recently was employed as a contractor for House of Windsor Construction Company in Georges Mills, NH.
Jeff enjoyed working with his hands, building, constructing and remodeling. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family.
His wife, Donna passed away on August 5, 2011.
He was also predeceased by his parents, five brothers, George, Wayne, Bruce, Albert, and David Creighton, and by one sister, Beatrice Bailey.
Survivors include one daughter, Mona Linda Creighton of Windsor, VT, five sons, Brent Creighton of Claremont, NH, Thomas Creighton of Windsor, VT, Jeffrey Lyle of Florida, Paul Lyle of Gloucester, MA, and Roy Dutter of Massachusetts, two brothers, James Creighton of Claremont, NH and Harley Creighton of Windsor, VT, two sisters, Brenda Emerson of White River Jct., VT and Lori Roberts of Newport, NH, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening, October 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Sheldon, officiating. Burial will follow in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
