Lebanon, NH – Jean H. Brooks, 91 formerly of White River Junction, VT died on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Genesis Health Care Center Lebanon, NH after a short illness. She was born September 5, 1931, in Millinocket, ME, the daughter of Milton and Ellie (Brown) Humphrey.

She grew up and spent her young adult life in Franklin, NH where she married John Fielden and worked in the Franklin Five and Dime Store. After his death, she moved to the Upper Valley and enjoyed her work as an aid at Lebanon Center Genesis Eldercare and volunteering at the Bugbee Senior Center.  Jean had a special affinity for cardinals and cats and loved to crochet, knit, weave, and dance.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; three children, David Fielden, Brenda Bacon, and Dorothy Chase; and one great granddaughter, Tiffany Fielden.

She is survived by a son Douglas Fielden of Lebanon, NH; a brother Victor Humphrey of Forney, TX; two granddaughters Tammy and Karen; three great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Knight Funeral Home, White River Junction, VT.
