White River Jct., VT – Jay L. Waterman, 59, died Thursday morning, February 11, at his home in White River Jct., VT after a battle with cancer. He was born December 19, 1956 in Windsor, VT the son of Leonard and Audrey (Patriquin) Waterman. He grew up in Littleton, NH until his family moved to Wilder, VT.

As a young man he worked several different jobs around the upper valley. Most recently he worked as a security guard at Chamber's Trailer Park in White River Jct., VT.

Jay loved to tell a good story and was always joking around. He enjoyed taking pictures, working in his flower garden, and watching the birds that would frequent his feeders. He liked to hunt and loved to fish especially with his daughter and his two best friends, Gary "Aggie" Moore and Eddie Parker. Jay also was a huge NASCAR fan. He and his daughter took in many races at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH.

Jay is survived by his daughter, Kristy Lynn Spaulding-Cole of White River Jct., VT, his three beloved grandchildren, Rebecca, Rylee and Reese, his mother Audrey Waterman of Sherbrooke, VT, three brothers, Randy Waterman of Tucson, AZ, Danny Waterman of Sparks, NV, and Bobby Waterman of Mesa, AZ, also many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, from 1:00 to 4:00PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT.
